You know those yummy cake donuts, with the maple glaze frosting and then peanuts sprinkled on top?
Yeah. The stuff dreams are made of.
I’m thinking I’ve almost perfected that with this combo, and I’m so freaking excited!
Here’s the deal, I used to eat that shizz on Fridays as a “celebration” of making it through the week, along with a tall black cafe Americano. An hour later I’d crash, feel lethargic, and then basically eat crap the rest of the day because I’d amped up my sugar and carb cravings. That mentality and eating would roll over in to the weekend, and then in to another week, and you know the cycle… #debbydowner
So, even though the thought of those donuts still calls to me, I don’t really want to make myself feel like crap on purpose. This helps me get those yummy maple and vanilla flavors, without any of the crash, and the bonus of 16 grams of protein to keep me full, extra calcium, a sh*tload of vitamins and adoptogens, and even some kale & spinach in there somewhere.
Donut worry, be happy.
MAPLE GLAZED DONUT SMOOTHIE
1 c Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
1/2 tsp Maple Extract
1 T PB2 (powdered peanut butter)
1 c ice
Blend together and enjoy.
Just don’t try to dunk it in your coffee.
